Getting Started with DecisionEdge
We hope your evaluation of DecisionEdge for Microsoft Office Project is going well.
Here are 5 Getting Started Hints:
Hint #1) Use Filters and Parameters - Focus on the information you need for better decisions. Each chart and report has different filter and parameter options, giving you the ability to focus on specific resources, groups, WBS elements, tasks, and dates. Just click the filter and parameter buttons on the toolbar to see your choices. Just click the toolbar buttons to see your choices:

Hint #2) Drag to Change the X-Axis - Left-click on the chart and drag the mouse to see data to the right or left.

Hint #3) Make Things Look Just Right - Customize the look of almost anything on a chart or report by right-clicking and selecting Edit-Display from the pop-up menu. Different items have different options. If you click on a chart, you will have many choices, such as adding or removing gridlines, adding 3-D effect, and changing chart colors.

Hint #4) Combine and Compare Projects - It is easy to open charts and reports with data from multiple projects. Some charts and reports combine data while others, such as bubble charts, compare performance:
- Separate MPP files - Open two or more project files in Office Project, then open DecisionEdge. On the right, highlight multiple projects (using Shift-Click or Alt-Click), select a chart or report, then click View.
- Subprojects - If you already have a master project with subprojects, just open the master project, then open DecisionEdge. Select a chart and click View.

Hint #5) Share Snapshots - Use the Export and Email ttoolbar button to create and share snapshots in a standard graphic formats such as JPG or PDF. Attach this file to an email or post on the network for others to see.

Bonus Hint) Use the export to Microsoft Excel option to easily moves chart and report data into Excel for further analysis and processing.
